Terms and admissions disclaimer
This wording has not yet had legal review.
It is written in plain language and describes what the service actually does, but it must be reviewed by a qualified adviser before the service is offered publicly. Do not treat it as a finished legal document.
Admissions disclaimer
Nothing provided by MedPath guarantees an interview, an offer, or admission to any medical school.
Some parts of this service estimate a chance of an offer. Those estimates are derived from figures the universities themselves publish — entry thresholds, and the number of offers made relative to the number of candidates interviewed — and each one shows the figures it used and how current they are.
They remain estimates, and they are limited in ways you should understand before relying on them. They do not model how you will perform at interview, which has not happened yet and is the largest single factor at the offer stage. They assume you perform like the average interviewee at that school. They rest on thresholds that move every cycle with the strength of the applicant pool. Where a university publishes no figures, no estimate is produced at all.
Readiness scores are a separate thing again: they describe how prepared an application currently is, and are not a probability or a ranking against other applicants. Admissions decisions are made solely by each university, using their own criteria and a competitive field we have no visibility of.
Entry requirements, selection methods and deadlines are set by universities, UCAS and the UCAT Consortium, and change between cycles. Always confirm them on the relevant official website before you rely on them. Where we state a requirement, we show the source and the date it was verified.
Who provides the service
MedPath is operated by a team of medical students at Imperial College London. He is not a doctor, not an admissions officer, and not a representative of Imperial College London. Imperial does not endorse this service. MedPath is independent of UCAS, the UCAT Consortium and every university.
What you are buying
Each service page states exactly what is included and what is not. That description is the scope of what you are buying. Nothing includes unlimited messaging, and no service includes any commitment about the outcome of your application.
Written reports are drafted using structured assessment tools and are read, edited and approved by a tutor before delivery. Target turnaround times are stated on each service page and run from the point at which you have supplied everything needed.
Automated marking and AI
Practice interview marks, practice feedback, transcription and statement checks are produced automatically by an AI model, and are not reviewed by a person before you see them.
They can be wrong. A mark is one automated reading of one answer against our own marking scheme; it is not a university’s mark, no university has seen it, and it does not predict how you would be scored on the day. Nothing automated here is a decision about your application.
The university matcher is not AI. Eligibility and the requirements shown against each school come from fixed rules applied to published information, and every record shows its source and date.
Feedback on a statement is feedback on work you have written, and using it does not make the statement ours. What you submit to UCAS must remain your own work — see Personal statements below.
Personal statements
Statement services provide feedback on work you have written. We do not write, rewrite, or supply replacement wording for any part of a UCAS statement, and we will not do so on request. Submitting work that is not your own may breach UCAS rules and put your application at risk.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information. Advice based on inaccurate grades or scores will be wrong.
- Verify university requirements yourself on official sources before you apply.
- Meet your own deadlines. We are not responsible for a missed UCAS deadline.
- If you are under 16, involve a parent or guardian before buying anything.
Payment and refunds
Prices are in pounds sterling and are shown on each service page. Payment is taken through Stripe; we never see your card details.
If you change your mind before work has started, you will get a full refund. Once a report has been researched and drafted, or a live session has taken place, that work has been delivered and is not refundable. If something has genuinely gone wrong, tell us and we will put it right.
Intellectual property
All assessment logic, written materials and teaching content used by this service are independently created. Reports we write for you are yours to use for your own application. Please do not redistribute or resell them.
Liability
We take reasonable care to make our guidance accurate and current. We are not liable for admissions outcomes, for changes universities make to their requirements, or for decisions you take based on information you did not verify. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
